Oak Ridge Vineyard
This 14-acre site was planted in the early 80’s on a ridge above Husum, Washington. It’s the Northern most vineyard in the Gorge planted at 1350 feet, on ashy loam, just 23 miles from the summit of Mt. Adams. Its farmed with monastic dedication by its owners Thomas and Marlene Woodward. The wines have a distinctive alpine character and the fruit is the most delicate that we work with. We purchase and acre of Pinot Noir each year and have just started to receive fruit from a 1-acre parcel planted to heirloom Chardonnay clones taken from Hiyu.
